Komen Madison Race for the Cure
Saturday, June 4th, 2005, Komen Madison Race for the Cure holds “Tie a Ribbon Campaign” and “5K Race” in our neighborhood (Map 1). These events aim to help increase breast cancer awareness. In order to participate in the events, I received the ribbon and the postcard two weeks ago, and I kept remind myself not to forget to show my enthusiasm this year.
I was surprised to find that I even didn’t know how to tie a ribbon! I meant a beautiful one. After many try outs, I was finally able to fasten it on my front door huge maple tree. “Not bad,” I encouraged myself.
The race started at 8:00AM from Quann Park/Coliseum area. The runners started to pass by my house about 8:20AM. It’s nice to see those energetic runners.
